The Andean Indigenous Medicine Traditions, Q'ero Earth Keepers & Wisdom Keepers & SPiritual GuideS

You will be embraced by the Q'ero, Earth Keepers and Wisdom Keepers from the high Andes, who are powerful and filled with laughter and love. You will receive energetic rites - the karpays, initiations and transmission into the Mystical Andean traditions.

You will learn the wisdom from the paqpo’s that are masters of living energy. Last year Dona Maria, Dona Mariano and their family as well as other Paqo’s will join us again for an powerful and profound journey

You will be guided back into balance with all of creation. In the Andean mystical wisdom tradition, it is said we are in the age of the “Tariapaycha”, a time of emerging consciousness that allows us to fully heal ourselves and share that gift with others.

the legendary Lake Titicaca

This is a rare and sacred opportunity to journey to the legendary Lake Titicaca, one of the most mystical and breathtaking places in the Andes. Revered by the Inca as the birthplace of the Sun and Moon, Lake Titicaca is the highest navigable lake in the world and a place of profound beauty, mystery, and spiritual power.

Our pilgrimage takes us across the majestic Altiplano, ascending to over 14,000 feet. Along the way, we will stop at ancient temples and sacred sites, allowing time to connect with the land and the rich spiritual heritage of the Andes. As the landscape opens into vast skies and expansive horizons, the journey itself becomes a meditation and invitation into deeper reflection.

We spend two nights near Puno, where we visit the enigmatic portal of Amaru Muru, a sacred site known as the "Gateway of the Gods." We then board our private boat and travel across the shimmering waters of Lake Titicaca, passing through the remarkable floating reed islands of Uros before continuing to the magical islands of Amantani and Taquile. There we stay with local families a truly an authentic heart warming experience.

These ancient islands hold a timeless presence, offering stunning natural beauty, living indigenous traditions, and temples steeped in mystery. Here, surrounded by the sacred waters and vast Andean skies, we are invited into a deeper connection with ourselves, the spirit of the land, and the wisdom carried through generations.

tHE INCREDIBLE Munay Sonqo Luxury Retreat Center

Lodging is at Munay Sonco Retreat Center located at the base of a stunning waterfall and the powerful mountains of Pitisuri and Sawasiray. It is situated in the middle of the Sacred Valley, near the small village of Arin, just one hour and fifteen minutes from Cusco.

This incredible center is an oasis, set in a natural landscape of mountains, trees, beautiful rivers and waterfalls. The valley embraces you to receive its liquid, light energy.

The Sacred Valley of Peru is a majestic spot in the Andes mountains. It is home to the twelve mountains known as “Apus”, or “luminous beings”, who are said to intercede on behalf of people.

An Oasis For The Mind, Body & Soul

Munay Sonqo is a very special retreat center. It is a magical well maintained and luxurious. Those who come to the center have the opportunity to commune directly with these mountains, as well as with the local curanderos and pacos (healers), who engage in ritual and ceremony.

You will have time to explore the beautiful nature around the center, the gardens and rivers. You may wish to add private healing sessions and massage to your retreat experience. There will be time to lay in a hammock, take a nap and receive the incredible beauty of nature, among the butterflies and birds. There is a spa you can enjoy with, hot tubs, saunas and eucalyptus steam rooms.

The center offers many creature comforts, including hot showers, warm duvets, and clean, exquisite sacred spaces, and spa all woven into the heart of nature. The Qualilla Spa experience is a gentle weaving of the relaxation of body, mind, and spirit within nature’s embrace. Offering a combination of holistic wellness and healing arts, from alternative and modern therapies, in connection with the wisdom and mysticism of the Incas. Enjoy saunas, hot pools, and salt cave therapy to assist you in your practice of intuitive well-being and self-care. All products we use are 100% natural. NOURISHING ORGANIC MEALS

Three fresh, farm-to-table vegetarian meals, with fish and chicken options, are served daily. The bounty is sourced from local on site, organic, permaculture gardens. Fresh herbal teas, juices and delicious soups, stews, and salads are prepared by the local chef.

We will have a few dinners out at incredible restaurants, and you will be able to choose from a variety of options. Past participants regularly comment on the amazing and nourishing food on this retreat. Special meal requests can be accommodated.

Ashera Serfaty — Shamanic Energy Medicine & Sound Practitioner, Transformational Coach

Ashera’s mission is to serve you on your journey of awakening to your authentic self, unique path, and remembering your own luminosity. Holding a space of compassion, she facilitates journey experiences to align you with your own vitality, wisdom, and highest destiny. This is the 19th retreat she has led to the Andes.

For the past 20 years, Ashera has been weaving Shamanic Energy Medicine, Intuitive Coaching, Alchemy, Sound Healing, and holistic approaches to transformation. She has served thousands of clients on their life journeys and awakening them to their highest potentials and intuition. She has led over dozens of international retreats as well as annual pilgrimages to Peru for the last 17 years. She loves to share the incredible gifts of Peruvian sacred sites, mountains, wisdom indigenous traditions, and Mother Earth consciousness. She is devoted to guiding you in awakening to your gifts and stepping into your self mastery.

She has been blessed to train and study with a variety of renowned teachers, shamans and modalities, including, The Four Winds Society, Advanced Theta Healing, Toltec Shamanic Healing, Natural Success Coaching, Sound Healing, Yoga, and Ayurveda. She also lived in the Andes mountains of Peru and was initiated into and apprenticed directly with Andean Shamans, Medicine Women and Earth Wisdom. She is a full Mesa carrier in the Q’ero traditions of the Andes.

Q’ero Earth & Wisdon Keepers — Pampe & Alta Mesayok

We will be working with a number of Q’ero paqos, the shamans of the Andes. This last 2 years we worked with the last living Alta Mesayok, 100 years old, 4th level paqo Dona Maria Apaza and her son Don Mariano and their family. We also worked with other Paqo’s. The Q’ero are the direct descendants of the Pre- Inca, who have lived high up in the safety of the sacred mountains to escape the Spanish Conquistadors. They live in their villages in the clouds at 15,000 ft.

These masters of living energy, were considered the earth and wisdom keepers. Their oral tradition preserved the ancient healing methods, energy work, rituals, and prophecies for the future of human beings and the planet. This knowledge has remained uncontaminated for thousands of years. They embody the true essence of love, as they share and transmit their energy healing and message. They offer limpia clearings, despacho ceremonies, and karpay transmission initiations.

The Q'ero understood that there would be a time when the world needed to remember the ancient wisdom and to spread their knowledge. The time is now. With their infinite graciousness, they are offering this knowledge to all of us with their most open hearts.

They guide us in joyful ceremony to bring us back into harmony, healing, and love with our lives and Mother Earth and this pivotal time.

Julian Sasari Quispe — Spiritual Guide

Julian is an experienced, authentic, spiritual guide from the Andes living the path of Andean wisdom. He has spent his life connecting with the wisdom of his Andean ancestors and exploring the healing potential of Andean healing and plant medicines. He has been sharing healing experiences with others as a guide for the last 10 years.

He has a deep knowledge of the mystical sacred places and indigenous wisdom the Andes, and approaching sacred sites in a profound way to receive their energy.

Julian is a master huachuma guide, with extensive experience guiding others for the last 15 years on journeys.

Growing up in a small Quechua village south of Cusco and tending his family's land has grounded him with a deep sense of community knowledge of the land. He has a profound respect for Pachamama (Mother Earth) and the Apus (Mountain Spirits).

Gonzalo Basavilbaso — Musician & Sound Therapist

Musician, sound therapist, sound researcher, and harmonic musical instruments builder.

During the last 12 years, Gonzalo has dedicated himself to exploring other uses of sound, leaving aesthetic criteria aside to set the intention on self-knowledge, healing, and the expansion of consciousness. He carries out interdisciplinary research where scientific, traditional/ancestral, empirical, and therapeutic criteria are combined to reach a greater understanding of sound, the different ways in which it affects us, and its therapeutic possibilities.

Through the use of instruments such as gongs, Tibetan and quartz bowls, didgeridoo, handpan, harmonium and voice among others, he carries out sound sessions where you can reach a deep state of meditation and relaxation that allow us to access numerous benefits through physical, mental, and emotional levels.

He manufactures many of the instruments he uses: gongs, didgeridoo, ocean and harmonic drums, wind chimes, among others. Creating new instruments that respond to specific needs for use in sound therapies. He also develops experiments in the field of cymatics that allow us to visualize the vibration of sound, providing us with new information and a greater awareness of its importance in our lives.
